Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a YouTube Content Creator. The YouTube Content Creator will plan, script, record, and edit engaging video content focused on travel and study abroad opportunities, including explainer videos, guides, interviews, and program highlights. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching relevant topics, developing content concepts and video outlines, filming and editing videos, optimizing titles, descriptions, and thumbnails, and maintaining a consistent publishing schedule. The role also involves collaborating with the GrabScholarship team to align content with platform goals, monitoring channel analytics, and engaging with the audience through comments and community posts to improve reach and viewer retention.
Qualifications
Strong skills in video pre-production and production, including topic research, scripting, and on-camera presentation.
Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar), including basic motion graphics and sound editing.
Experience with YouTube best practices, such as SEO for titles and descriptions, thumbnail design, and audience engagement strategies.
Understanding of digital content trends, social media platforms, and storytelling techniques tailored to a global, student-focused audience.
Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to explain complex travel and study abroad information in an accessible way.
Strong organizational skills to manage content calendars, meet deadlines, and deliver consistent output in a remote setting.
Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., YouTube Studio) to track performance and refine content based on data.
Prior experience creating educational or informational video content, particularly related to travel, scholarships, or study abroad, is beneficial.
Reliable internet connection and access to suitable recording equipment (camera, microphone, lighting) for high-quality video production.
