We’re a small, profitable B2B SaaS company helping teams support, sell, and market to customers over WhatsApp. The product is live, customers depend on it every day, and we’re looking for someone to help shape the next stage of our engineering team.

What you’ll do
Lead a team of three to four engineers while staying hands-on yourself, roughly 30–40% building, with the rest spent leading, mentoring, reviewing, and unblocking.
Help decide what to build, what to fix, and what to leave alone, then turn that into shipped work.
Spend your build time where it counts: high-leverage parts of the system, technical plans, reviews, and the calls that set direction.
Improve the reliability of a real-time WhatsApp messaging product that customers genuinely depend on.
Work across the stack: backend, public APIs, webhooks, GraphQL, and a real Vue and TypeScript frontend. This is product engineering, not a backend role with occasional UI.
The ideal candidate has
A product engineer’s instincts: first-principles thinking, a bias for simplicity, and a focus on shipping value.
Seniority that fits the role: a senior engineer ready for broader ownership, a current Tech Lead, or a hands-on Engineering Manager who never stopped building.
Experience leading engineers, through technical direction, mentoring, and planning, and the instinct to turn business and customer context into clear priorities.
Solid SaaS experience, so shipping cadence, customer expectations, and constant tradeoffs feel familiar.
Real depth across the stack: Rails is a plus (Python/Django or similar translate well), plus enough frontend comfort to work across a real-time product, not just around it.
Ease with ambiguity. You can make the call without perfect information and change your mind when the evidence does.
Clear writing, because we work remotely and write a lot.
Low ego. You can challenge others and be challenged back without it getting weird.
