Shopify Developer

Role Overview
You’ll own the technical side of our Shopify stores – from theme customization and speed optimization to new feature development and integrations. You’ll work directly with the founder and a small internal team (design/ops) to ship clean, conversion-focused experiences quickly.

What You’ll Do
Customize and maintain existing Shopify themes (sections, templates, metafields, etc.)
Build new landing pages, product templates, and custom sections based on Figma/wireframes or rough ideas
Implement and optimize Shopify 2.0 features (flexible sections, metaobjects, app blocks)
Integrate and configure apps (Klaviyo, review apps, upsell apps, subscriptions, analytics, etc.)
Improve site performance (Core Web Vitals, image optimization, script cleanup)
Implement tracking: GA4, Meta/Pixel, server-side events where needed
Troubleshoot theme/app conflicts and fix bugs quickly
Collaborate on A/B tests and CRO-focused changes (e.g., product page layouts, bundles, upsells)
(Nice to have) Build custom Shopify apps or private apps where needed

Must-Have Requirements
3+ years hands-on Shopify development experience (not just basic store setup)
Strong in:
Liquid
HTML, CSS, modern JS
Shopify theme architecture (Dawn or similar 2.0 themes)
Proven experience building or customizing high-converting product pages and collections
Comfortable working with:
Metafields / metaobjects
Theme sections & app blocks
Webhooks and basic Shopify APIs
Experience integrating major e-com tools (email, reviews, analytics, upsells, subscriptions, etc.)
Solid English communication (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently, suggest solutions, and document what you ship (Loom, screenshots, short notes)

Nice to Have
Experience with headless Shopify (Hydrogen, Remix, Next.js, etc.)
Experience with performance optimization for Shopify (Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals work you can show)
Knowledge of CRO best practices for DTC brands
Experience working with home décor / furniture / lighting brands is a big plus
Basic familiarity with tools like ClickUp, Notion, Figma, GitHub
