Rosella is looking for a Sr. WordPress developer with real coding skills who goes beyond themes and page builders to write clean code, integrate APIs, and build custom functionality using other low-code frameworks when the project needs it.
Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites based on project requirements
Build responsive, high-performance, and user-friendly websites
Ensure all delivered websites meet quality, performance, and reliability standards
Customize themes, plugins, and site functionality as needed
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across WordPress environments
Handle custom development tasks outside WordPress when required (e.g. simple React components, API integrations, or lightweight backend endpoints)
Work with third-party tools, integrations, and low-code frameworks when needed
Attend client meetings to discuss requirements, updates, and technical solutions
Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, ACF, custom post types, and page builders such as Elementor and Gutenberg
Solid understanding of WordPress performance optimization, security, troubleshooting, deployment, and hosting environments
Ability to handle custom coding tasks using PHP, JavaScript, React, APIs, SQL, and modern styling frameworks such as Tailwind CSS
Experience integrating third-party services and tools such as CRMs, payment gateways, email platforms, and external APIs
Ability to work independently, solve unfamiliar technical challenges, and deliver projects with minimal supervision
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate progress, technical solutions, and blockers internally and with clients
