Senior Software Engineer

We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and build scalable, production-grade applications using Node.js, Express.js, MySQL, AWS, and React.

You’ll own backend services end-to-end, contribute to frontend development, influence system architecture, and mentor other engineers.

This is a contract role — part-time freelancers welcome.

What You’ll Do
Design and build backend microservices using Node.js & Express.js
Own REST API design, performance, and documentation
Architect and optimize MySQL schemas and queries
Build and integrate services on AWS (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, API Gateway)
Develop and maintain React frontends
Improve code quality, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
Participate in architecture decisions and mentor engineers
Must-Have Experience
7+ years in software engineering
Conversational level of English is a must
5+ years with Node.js in production
Strong MySQL and REST API experience
Hands-on AWS deployment experience
Production experience with React
Experience with authentication (JWT, OAuth, or similar)
