Join our team and build your career with us
At RoboClaim, we’re building AI agents that integrate directly with insurance claims systems to help teams process more claims faster, more accurately, and without changing their existing tools.
We’re builders, problem-solvers, and engineers who believe AI should work with people, not replace them. If you’re excited about solving complex real-world problems with elegant AI-powered solutions, we’d love to meet you.
Why this role exists
We are building a new product in a complicated industry, and our users need a simple, reliable experience. We’re growing fast and have many ideas to design and test while dealing with real-world constraints like messy data, edge cases, and legacy workflows.
This is a Senior Product Designer role with high ownership. You’ll be our only designer for the time being, partnering closely with founders and engineering to move quickly from insights → designs → shipped improvements.
We’re especially excited about designers who are AI-native in their workflow—you use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, explore options faster, draft UX copy, and speed up early concepts—then apply strong judgment and craft to ship high-quality product experiences. This is not a role for someone who only pushes pixels in Figma.
What you’ll do (first 90–180 days)
Own end-to-end design for core workflows: discovery → concepts → prototypes → polished UI → shipped iterations.
Run lean discovery: customer calls/shadowing, synthesize insights, and validate direction with quick tests.
Translate complexity into clear IA and interaction patterns, including roles/permissions and edge-case states (empty/loading/error).
Partner with founders + engineering to scope MVPs, prioritize work, and make smart tradeoffs with clear success metrics.
Use AI tools to accelerate your workflow (research synthesis, ideation, UX copy, documentation) while ensuring accuracy and quality.
Establish lightweight reusable patterns/components that improve consistency and speed without overbuilding a design system.
What makes you a great fit
5–10+ years as a Product Designer (or similar) for web apps/SaaS; startup or zero-to-one experience is a strong plus.
A portfolio showing shipped, complex workflows (not just marketing pages).
Comfortable operating as a solo designer: you can self-prioritize, manage tradeoffs, and drive projects end-to-end.
Strong systems thinking: IA, state management, edge cases, accessibility fundamentals.
Proficient in Figma and prototyping (lo-fi → hi-fi), with clear handoff and UX QA habits.
You actively use AI tools in your day-to-day workflow (research synthesis, ideation, wireframes/flows, UX writing, documentation, etc.) and you know when not to rely on them.
Curious by default; you ask “why” until the problem is clear.
Excellent collaboration and crisp written communication, especially with engineers and founders.
Nice-to-haves
Domain experience in insurance, claims, or other complex/regulated workflows.
Familiarity with analytics/telemetry, experiment design, and outcome-driven iteration.
Experience creating or evolving a design system in production.
Comfort reading API docs or inspecting network requests/JSON to understand edge cases and product behavior.
What success looks like
Within 30 days: You’ve mapped user mental models, identified high-friction moments, and shipped small UX wins.
Within 90 days: A critical workflow is redesigned and shipped; measurable friction drops.
Within 6 months: A pragmatic set of patterns/components improves consistency and velocity across the product.
