We are looking for a Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and supporting the monthly closing process.
Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain multiple general ledger accounts, ensuring all balances are accurate and reconciled.
Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Reconcile balance sheet and P&L accounts monthly and investigate variances.
Review transactions to ensure proper coding and IFRS compliance.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Collaborate with auditors and provide required documentation.
Improve accounting processes to increase accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure proper documentation for all entries.
Support the Finance Manager in ad-hoc analyses and reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience (preferably in GL).
Strong knowledge of IFRS (IFRS Diploma preferred).
Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
High attention to detail and time management.
Must be based in Egypt.
Preferred, but strong working knowledge of IFRS is acceptable.
