Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. In this full-time role, you will design, implement, and operate scalable infrastructure and deployment systems across multi-cloud and on-premises environments. You will collaborate closely with internal developers and client engineering teams to ensure reliable deployments, strong security controls, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

Lead and support deployments across AWS, Azure, DigitalOcean, and on-prem Kubernetes clusters
Collaborate directly with client engineering teams during shared on-prem deployment sessions
Maintain Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps-based application and infrastructure deployment workflows
Maintain IAM identity and access controls across clusters and cloud environments
Drive monitoring, alerting, and cost-visibility practices across cloud and Kubernetes platforms
Troubleshoot infrastructure, and runtime issues with internal developers and client teams
Serve as a primary DevOps contact for platform architecture, deployment, and operational topics
Improve infrastructure and deployment documentation standards; clarify undocumented components
Maintain deep familiarity with internal IaC and platform repositories
Align relationships between infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and application charts
Contribute to security and compliance practices using tools such as Vanta, SonarQube, and Snyk

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in cloud and on-prem environments
Experience operating across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or similar)
Proficiency with IaC and GitOps workflows (Terraform, Helm, Atlantis, CI/CD)
Experience supporting production deployments and troubleshooting distributed systems
Familiarity with IAM and access control across cloud and Kubernetes platforms
Exposure to DevSecOps tooling (e.g., vulnerability scanning, compliance, code analysis)
Ability to collaborate with developers and external client engineering teams
Strong documentation and systems understanding skills across complex infrastructure stacks
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent strong foundation in computer science fundamentals with 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles supporting production systems
