We are looking for a highly driven Senior Accountant to join our Finance team at FlyAkeed. This role will take ownership of end-to-end financial operations, ensuring strong financial control, revenue accuracy, and continuous improvement of accounting processes in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Oversee all accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings to ensure financial integrity
Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and key financial metrics
Support the budgeting process and provide in-depth financial analysis to drive strategic decision-making
Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local financial regulations
Assist in audit preparations, liaising with auditors to provide required documentation and explanations
Manage, mentor, and train junior accounting staff to maintain high standards of financial practice
Collaborate with various departments to provide financial commentary and insights
Utilize financial modeling and analytical techniques to support corporate finance strategies and initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Financial Modeling & Valuation (FM&V) certification is essential
CPA/CMA is preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in a fast-paced environment
Strong expertise in IFRS and revenue recognition standards
Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, ERP platforms, and financial analysis tools
Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and financial control
