About us

We are a small, ambitious, and fully bootstrapped team dedicated to creating valuable open-source software. As a bootstrapped company, we are driven by a singular vision: to create exceptionally valuable open-source software that solves real-world problems. We believe in sustainable growth, a strong engineering culture, and the freedom to innovate without the constraints of traditional venture capital. By joining us, you won’t just be an employee; you’ll be a foundational member of our team, with a direct impact on our products and our open-source strategy.

The Role

We are looking for a promising Junior UX/UI Designer who is ready to leave their mark on the Open Source community. At TeamCoderz, we don’t just build software; we build ecosystems in the open.

You’ll start by taking the reins of our existing OSS product ( Wordy.me) – identifying friction points and elevating the visual language – while simultaneously helping us shape the design systems for several new OSS solutions currently in the incubator.

What You’ll Do

Elevate Our Core Product: Audit our existing OSS solution and ship design improvements that make it as intuitive as it is powerful.
Build in Public: Design with the community in mind. Your work will be seen, critiqued, and used by developers worldwide.
Figma Mastery: Create and maintain clean, scalable components and design systems. We need someone who lives in Auto Layout and understands the power of a well-organized file.
Collaborate with Engineering: Work closely with our devs to ensure your visions are technically feasible and perfectly implemented.

Who You Are

A Figma Native: You don’t just “use” Figma; you know how to build flexible, high-fidelity prototypes and maintain a component library.
Problem Solver: You look at a complex technical dashboard and think, “How can I make this simpler?”
OSS Enthusiast: You understand (or are eager to learn) the unique challenges of designing for open-source communities.
High Potential: You may be junior in years of experience, but your portfolio shows a sophisticated eye for typography, spacing, and user flow. Dashboards are your passion but you like the challenge of redesigning a marketing website from time to time.

Why Join Us?

Make a Global Impact: Contribute to meaningful open-source projects used by developers worldwide.
Potential for Equity: As a foundational member of our team, we offer meaningful equity options. You will own a part of what you build.
Work from Anywhere: We offer a fully remote position, giving you the flexibility to work from wherever you are most productive.
Shape Our Future: As an early hire, you will have a significant influence on our technical direction, culture, and success.
Embrace Autonomy: We trust our team. You will have the freedom and responsibility to own your work and make key decisions.
Be Part of a Passionate Team: Join a dedicated and ambitious group of individuals who are committed to building something truly valuable.
Mentorship: Work directly with our founding team to sharpen your skills.
Transparency: We operate in the open, meaning your contributions are a permanent part of your professional legacy.

How to Apply

Please send us your portfolio (focusing on Figma work) and a short note on why Open Source excites you.
