Role Description The Java Spring Boot Technical Lead is a full-time remote role responsible for guiding the design, development, and delivery of complex web applications and services. This role oversees the technical architecture, ensures code quality, reviews implementations, and supports best practices for backend development using Java and Spring Boot. Day-to-day activities include leading a team of developers, providing technical mentorship, estimating and planning work, collaborating with product and QA teams, and troubleshooting production and performance issues. The Technical Lead also contributes to security reviews, database design, integration strategies, and continuous improvement of development workflows and DevOps practices. Participation in technical decision-making, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team is essential.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Software Development and Programming skills, with expert-level experience in Java and Spring Boot.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Databases, including relational database design, optimization, and ORM frameworks.
Candidates should possess Cybersecurity and Network Security skills, with the ability to design and implement secure, resilient application architectures.
Candidates should possess leadership and mentoring abilities, including experience guiding development teams and conducting code reviews.
Candidates should possess experience with microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and modern web application frameworks.
Candidates should possess familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Candidates should possess strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience as a senior developer or technical lead is highly beneficial.
