Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Financial Accountant. The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, conducting financial analysis, utilizing accounting software, and preparing financial reports. The role involves collaborating with other departments, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing insights to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare financial statements, budgets, and tax returns for the aggregator and ensure compliance with financial regulations related to data handling and sharing.
Data Integrity & Security: Oversee the secure and accurate collection, storage, and processing of financial data from various sources to maintain its integrity and confidentiality.
Financial Analysis & Support: Analyze financial data to support the aggregator’s operations, potentially involving cash flow forecasting, trend analysis, and providing insights to help develop new financial products and services.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions, ensuring that all accounting processes are robust and efficient.
Auditing & Reconciliation: Manage internal and external audits of financial records and perform reconciliation of various financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
System Management: Work with financial systems and software to capture and integrate data from different financial institutions, ensuring seamless operations.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise: Proficient in accounting software, financial data aggregation tools, and other relevant financial technologies.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex financial data and solve problems resourcefully.
Understanding of Data Security: Knowledge of data protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory frameworks governing financial data.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations and standards applicable to data aggregation and the broader financial services industry.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including internal teams, financial institutions, and potentially regulatory bodies.
Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data and reports.
