We’re building infrastructure for Bitcoin and Liquid Network applications serving web and mobile platforms. You’ll design resilient systems for high-volume transaction processing, manage blockchain node deployments, and ensure platform security and performance across all client interfaces.
This role sits at the intersection of serious DevOps craft and blockchain protocol operations, including Bitcoin’s next-generation Layer 2 infrastructure through the Elements project. We value technical depth, practical problem-solving, and a genuine interest in financial sovereignty technology.
We know engineers with hands-on Bitcoin node experience are rare. If your background is in blockchain infrastructure more broadly and you’re motivated to go deep on Bitcoin, we want to hear from you.
Who We’re Looking For
Candidates who have operated production blockchain nodes (any protocol), understand the reliability and security demands they create, and are genuinely curious about Bitcoin’s architecture.
Core Technical Requirements
Infrastructure & Cloud
• Strong AWS experience (IAM, CloudFront, EC2, S3, RDS)
• Container orchestration with Kubernetes; infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and Ansible
• Linux server administration in high-availability production environments
• Monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) for real-time financial systems
• Network security, firewalls, and DDoS mitigation
• Backend infrastructure for web and mobile applications at scale
Blockchain Node Operations
• Production experience running full nodes for any major blockchain protocol
• Understanding of node resource requirements, chain sync, and backup strategies
• Experience managing hot/cold wallet infrastructure
• Familiarity with key management systems or HSM integrations
Development & Automation
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go
• CI/CD pipelines for blockchain and mobile/web applications
• Database administration (PostgreSQL, Redis) with a focus on data integrity
• API gateway management, rate limiting, and IP whitelisting for consumer applications
• Comfort with gRPC/REST and service mesh architectures
What You’ll Do
• Design and maintain infrastructure for Bitcoin and Liquid Network nodes powering web and mobile wallet applications
• Build automated deployment pipelines with zero-downtime releases
• Implement monitoring that catches blockchain-specific and application-level anomalies before they reach users
• Manage security hardening for systems handling real value, including confidential asset transactions
• Scale API infrastructure reliably for mobile and web client demands
• Create and maintain disaster recovery procedures for blockchain state and wallet backups
• Collaborate with developers on architecture decisions balancing security, scalability, and user experience
