We are a trusted recruitment partner connecting experienced finance professionals with leading organizations across the region. On behalf of a reputable company operating within a diversified group structure, we are seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team on a full-time remote basis.
About the Role
As a Chief Accountant, you will oversee the company’s core accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, managing reporting cycles, and supporting strategic financial decisions.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and results-driven finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and solid experience in regional accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee general ledger operations, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions.
Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial reporting accuracy.
Implement and improve accounting policies and internal control procedures.
Support financial analysis and provide insights to senior management.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in line with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership exposure.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations within the MENA region.
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.
