📢 Arabic MSA Speech Collection Agent Opportunity

We are looking for Arabic MSA Speech Collection Agents to support a speech data collection project.

🎙️ Project Overview
The project involves collecting natural Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) speech recordings from real speakers reading provided Arabic scripts.

We are looking for authentic speech recorded in real-life environments, with natural background sounds.

📌 Key Requirements
• Language: Modern Standard Arabic (MSA)

• Recording type: Script reading

• Individual clip duration: 1–2.5 minutes

• Clips longer than 2.5 minutes will be rejected

• Each clip must contain natural background noise

• The main speaker’s voice must remain clear and understandable

• Only one main speaker should be present in each recording

🌍 Preferred Recording Environments
We are specifically looking for recordings with different natural environments, such as:

🏠 Home

👨‍👩‍👧 Family environment

🌬️ Fan / AC / cooler

🚗 Car / traffic

🛍️ Market / public places

🚆 Train / metro

🌳 Outdoor environments

☕ Cafés and other everyday locations

Light background music may be acceptable as long as it remains low and does not interfere with the speaker’s voice.

💰 Payment
USD 8 per accepted speech hour

A contributor can collect up to 4 accepted speech hours, with a maximum payment of:

4 hours × $8 = USD 32

Payment is based on the accepted audio volume after quality review.

👥 Collection Agent Opportunity
If you are a collection agent and can recruit additional Arabic MSA speakers, we would be happy to work with you.

You can collect recordings from multiple contributors and coordinate their submissions. We can provide the required scripts and collection instructions for the contributors.

📋 Important
For every new contributor, the required metadata must be added to the project tracking sheet.

We are particularly interested in natural, real-life MSA speech with realistic background environments, rather than studio-quality recordings with complete silence.
