Role Description The Adults English Instructor will deliver engaging online English lessons to adult learners in a remote, part-time capacity. Responsibilities include planning and delivering interactive lessons that focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills aligned with Upedia Academy’s curriculum. The instructor will assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to different proficiency levels and learning styles. Additional duties include preparing digital teaching materials, maintaining accurate attendance and progress records, and participating in occasional virtual trainings or meetings. The role requires consistent communication with learners to support motivation, confidence, and long-term language development.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in English Teaching, Language Teaching, and general Teaching for adult learners.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Education and curriculum-based instruction for language learning.
Candidates should possess solid Writing skills for creating lesson plans, feedback, and learning materials.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent language teaching certification is an advantage.
Prior experience teaching English to adults in online or classroom settings is highly beneficial.
Clear, neutral, and comprehensible spoken English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfort with educational technology, virtual classroom platforms, and digital resources.
Ability to work independently, manage schedules effectively, and teach across diverse cultural backgrounds.
