We are looking for a Senior Finance & Bookkeeping Specialist (100% Remote, worldwide)! 💫

Amplify is hiring a Senior Finance & Bookkeeping Specialist to run our day-to-day bookkeeping and finance operations and keep our books accurate, current and trusted. You’ll keep Xero up to date, control supplier and customer invoices, make sure approved payments and payroll go out on time, and prepare a clean month-end close. When something doesn’t add up, you’re the one who works out why.

💡 A bit about us: We’re at an exciting point in our growth as we launch Amplify. 🌎 Work from anywhere, this role just needs core hours aligned with UK business hours, with overlap into US hours when needed. We’re a small, dynamic, global team, which means real ownership, real impact, and room to grow as we build.

What you’ll actually be doing:

Keeping Xero current: coding bills, invoices and expenses, and reconciling bank, card and processor accounts throughout the month
Owning supplier invoices and payments, and chasing overdue customer invoices and failed subscription payments
Preparing the monthly close and producing monthly reports with clear commentary on what moved
Reconciling Chargebee to Xero, maintaining deferred revenue schedules and fixing historical revenue gaps for good
Owning the daily cash position across GBP and USD and keeping the 13-week cash forecast and payroll calendar on track
Spotting manual work that could be simplified or automated, with the checks still in place

You might be a fit if you have:

✅ 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting, including preparing month-end close at a SaaS or subscription business

✅ Strong critical thinking: when the numbers don’t reconcile, you investigate, research and fix it without waiting to be told how

✅ ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent: qualified, part-qualified, or in the final stage of studying

✅ Reconciled a billing platform like Chargebee, Stripe or Recurly to the general ledger, and handled deferred revenue, prepayments and refunds

✅ Run day-to-day bookkeeping, payables and collections yourself, not just reviewed them

✅ Cleaned up messy books, and can walk us through where they started and where you left them

✅ Advanced, hands-on Xero and strong Excel / Google Sheets

✅ The confidence to challenge leadership when the numbers don’t support a decision

✅ Bonus: UK and US or multi-entity experience, IFRS 15 / ASC 606, channel commission models, or healthcare SaaS

🚨 Please note: you’ll need to be able to work Monday to Friday on UK business hours, with overlap into US business hours (ET) when needed. Excellent written and spoken English, and confidence leading conversations with leadership and external accountants, are essential.
