Levelzi is an offshore staffing company connecting U.S. businesses with top remote talent from the MENA region. We specialize in placing skilled professionals who work seamlessly within U.S. business operations — fully remote, fully vetted, and ready to deliver.
About the Role
We are hiring on behalf of a client who fabricates and installs commercial signage — channel letters, illuminated cabinet and box signs, pylons, and monuments. Their assessors visit each site, take measurements, and photograph conditions. They need someone who can turn a field packet into an accurate, defensible number.
What You’ll Do
– Review field packets (photos, measurements, sketches, specs, project requirements) and flag anything missing before pricing
– Perform material takeoffs: aluminum, acrylic, polycarbonate faces, vinyl, LED modules, power supplies, raceways, hardware, paint, and finish
– Estimate fabrication labor and shop hours by operation
– Estimate installation: crew size, hours, lift or crane needs, electrical hookup, and site conditions
– Price in permits, engineering, freight, and subcontracted work
– Apply overhead and margin structure using rate sheets, cost guidelines, and historical job data
– Produce clean, itemized quotes with assumptions and exclusions stated in writing
– Handle revisions and re-quotes as scope changes
– Keep organized estimate records and flag when cost data drifts from actual
What We’re Looking For
– Quantity surveying or estimating experience in construction, fit-out, or manufacturing
– Real takeoff ability — you build costs from measurements and drawings, not rules of thumb
– Comfort working from imperfect information with the judgment to ask rather than assume
– Strong Excel skills
– Careful with numbers and units — a transposed dimension is money lost
– Clear written English — your assumptions must be readable by a U.S. customer
– Organized and self-directed, managing a queue of projects at different stages
Nice to Have
– Familiarity with illuminated signage components and UL requirements
– Permitting or sign code experience
– Blueprint reading: AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar
– Estimating or shop management software (Cyrious, ShopVOX, Corebridge, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or comparable)
How You’ll Work
Fully remote. Field packets come to you digitally, estimates and quotes go back out. Working hours overlap with U.S. business hours.
