Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accounting professionals, overseeing daily operations, assigning tasks, and conducting performance reviews.

Month-End Close Management: Own and manage the month-end and year-end closing procedures for multiple legal entities across various jurisdictions, ensuring deadlines are strictly met.

Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and detailed reporting packages, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.

Complex Transactions: Supervise the accounting for complex investment structures, intercompany transfers, and multi-currency transactions.

ERP & Systems Oversight: Act as the subject matter expert for the accounting system. Lead initiatives related to ERP enhancements, and possess proven experience in selecting, implementing, or migrating to a new ERP (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

Compliance & Taxation: Ensure timely and accurate Tax and VAT filing across multiple jurisdictions, with specific responsibility for UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance.

Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements to accounting workflows, internal controls, and reporting capabilities to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Remote Autonomy: Demonstrate a proven ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, managing priorities and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, ideally in a multi-entity or investment firm context.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CMA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is a plus.

Experience managing accounting for multi-entity and multi-country operations. Background in VC, PE, or family office is a plus.

Mastery of IFRS, multi-entity consolidation, and complex intercompany transactions.

Demonstrable experience with multi-jurisdictional Tax and VAT filing.

Proven, hands-on experience with ERP system implementation or migration

Proven ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy in a fully remote, deadline-driven environment.
