Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Graphic Design Instructor. The instructor will design and deliver online lessons on fundamental and advanced graphic design principles, including visual communication, typography, and layout. Day-to-day tasks include preparing instructional materials, creating digital examples and demonstrations, guiding students through projects, and providing constructive feedback on their work. The instructor will support learners during live sessions or via online platforms, assess student progress, and adapt teaching approaches to different skill levels. Collaboration with the STEMers team to refine curriculum and integrate technology-focused activities into lessons is also part of this role.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design, with a solid understanding of design tools and workflows.
Candidates should possess skills in Visual Communication and Typography to effectively teach principles of layout, hierarchy, and messaging.
Candidates should possess skills in Web Design, including basic UI/UX concepts and designing for digital platforms.
Experience teaching or mentoring students in graphic design or related fields, preferably in an online or hybrid environment.
Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or similar tools).
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way.
Commitment to inclusive teaching practices that support learners from diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
Relevant education or professional experience in graphic design, visual arts, or a related discipline.
