Role Description

 

This part-time remote Site Reliability Engineer role focuses on maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performing systems for client environments. The role involves monitoring system health, responding to incidents, and performing root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Daily activities include collaborating with development and operations teams to improve system resilience, automating operational tasks, and refining deployment and monitoring processes. The Site Reliability Engineer will also contribute to documentation, capacity planning, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and cloud-based services.

 

 

Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering practices, including reliability, scalability, and performance optimization.
Strong Troubleshooting skills for complex system, application, and network issues.
Experience with Software Development concepts and tooling to automate operations and improve system reliability.
Solid System Administration background in Linux or Windows environments, with familiarity in scripting and configuration management.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure design and management, preferably in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) and incident management practices.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document processes thoroughly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
Previous experience in consulting, IT operations, or DevOps/SRE roles is beneficial.
