Finance Lead

Our client is looking for a Finance Lead to own our finance, accounting, tax, payroll, treasury, and financial operations while helping shape the financial decisions that guide the business.

This role combines strategic financial planning, including forecasting, pricing, and business analysis, with the hands-on execution required to support a rapidly growing company operating across both traditional finance and digital assets. It is a highly cross-functional position where you’ll wear multiple hats and play a key role in building scalable financial operations.

Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

Monitor cash balances across both traditional banking and digital asset wallets.
Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and profitability projections.
Analyse key business metrics and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Contribute to pricing strategy for existing and new products.
Accounting & Financial Reporting

Partner with bookkeeping and external accounting providers to prepare monthly financial statements.
Manage the monthly close process and reconcile external reports against internal records.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Support the transition from cash accounting to accrual accounting.
Tax & Compliance

Coordinate state, federal, and international tax filings with external advisors.
Manage tax payments, including quarterly estimated payments.
Partner with accounting firms throughout the tax preparation and filing process.
Support tax compliance across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
Help maintain accurate financial records to support ongoing compliance.
Treasury & Payments

Execute payments through payroll platforms, banking systems, and digital asset payment channels.
Manage transfers between traditional financial accounts and digital asset wallets.
Coordinate with accounting teams to ensure all fund movements are accurately recorded.
Track digital asset transactions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury, and fund management activities.
HR & Payroll

Coordinate hiring logistics, including employment contracts and onboarding through HR and payroll platforms.
Facilitate employment documentation and employee setup.
Run payroll across multiple jurisdictions and payment methods, including fiat currencies and stablecoins.
Manage payroll tax compliance, including withholding and statutory contributions.
Operations

Onboard new team members by provisioning access to internal systems and collaboration tools.
Manage employee offboarding and access removal.
Maintain employee and investor equity vesting schedules.
Monitor corporate correspondence and assist with general operational administration.

Solid understanding of finance and accounting through academic study and/or professional experience.

Experience working in a startup environment, ideally within blockchain, crypto, or Web3.
Professional experience in finance, accounting, or corporate operations.
Familiarity with US and international multi-entity corporate structures.
Experience working with external accounting, bookkeeping, or tax advisors.
