About The Role
We hit 1M+ users and 5x YoY growth before building a proper affiliate engine. That means you’re not walking into someone else’s playbook, you’re writing the first real one.
This is a player-coach role. You’ll set the direction and build the systems, but you’ll also be in the trenches, talking to partners, reviewing tracking infrastructure, and making commercial decisions yourself. If you’re used to delegating to a large team, this probably isn’t for you. Hi, I’m Gaurav, Director of Growth at Roamless. We’re hiring an Affiliate Lead to turn affiliate marketing into a structured, scalable growth channel.
We need someone who can set strategy, prioritise the right partner types and revenue models, grow and support the team while staying hands-on.
The goal is to build our affiliate marketing into a meaningful acquisition lever, not just manage partner operations. If you’re energized by building things from scratch, know how to negotiate a deal that protects CAC, and can spot a fraudulent partner from a mile away, we’d love to hear from you.
What You Will Do
Own the Affiliate Strategy End-to-End
Define which partner types matter, which don’t, and why
Set the roadmap for how affiliate evolves from a channel we manage to a core growth engine globally, across partner types, geos, and models
Build a Scalable Partner Acquisition Engine
Move us beyond one-off deals by developing a repeatable system for sourcing, onboarding, activating, and evaluating partners
Cover everything from top-tier B2B partnerships to long-tail content affiliates and commission-based creators
Own Partner Management and Commercial Negotiations
Lead negotiations with partners and set commercial frameworks and guardrails
Ensure every deal delivers incremental value. Know when to use CPA, revenue share, or flat fees, and why
Drive Performance and Revenue Accountability
Own the affiliate contribution to growth: revenue share, CAC efficiency, and incrementality
Define and track KPIs per partner type
Identify and cut partners generating fraud, low-quality traffic, or cannibalizing organic
Attribution and Quality Control
Ensure accurate tracking across all partners
Manage postback tracking, identify attribution gaps, and build the infrastructure to detect and mitigate fraud and cannibalization
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Align with Performance Marketing on CAC, creatives, and landing pages
Partner with Product on offers, promo logic, and funnel
Work with Brand on messaging and partner integrations
Build and Lead the Team
Provide clear direction, prioritization frameworks, and coaching

What You Will Bring
Must-haves
8+ years of dedicated affiliate marketing experience. Not broad digital marketing, affiliate specifically. You need to come in as the expert in the room.
Experience in the travel or telecom industry. The partner landscape, payment models, and platform dynamics are specific enough that a generalist background means a steep learning curve we can’t absorb right now.
Advanced tracking and attribution knowledge: postback tracking, attribution gap analysis, incrementality measurement, and fraud detection.
Experience leading and building a global affiliate team, not regional, global. You understand that partners don’t respect geography.
Experience with content SEO or comparison site affiliates (listicles, SEO-driven review platforms, coupon sites). This is a meaningful part of our current mix.
Proficiency with affiliate management platforms: Impact, Awin, or equivalent.
Strong commercial mindset: you can look at a partner and know intuitively whether CPA, revenue share, or flat fee is the right model, and why.
Nice-to-haves
Knowledge of MMPs: Adjust, AppsFlyer.
An existing network of partners in travel, telecom, or with relevant creator/publisher relationships.
Experience managing commission-based influencer or creator partnerships.
