Back End Developer | Full-Time | Remote (MENA Region)

On behalf of a confidential software company, we are seeking a skilled Back End Developer to join a growing engineering team and contribute to the development of robust backend systems.

This is a full-time remote role, open to candidates based across the MENA region.

About the Role

As a Back End Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power modern software applications. You will work closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver secure and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs
Build scalable and secure server-side applications
Integrate databases and third-party services
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend-related issues
Follow best practices for security, data protection, and system architecture
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience as a Back End Developer or similar role
Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or similar)
Experience working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend architecture patterns
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment
