Role: Finance Expert (Remote)
Location: 100% Remote (Global)
Compensation: USD40–80 per hour
Role Overview
One of our clients is seeking experienced finance professionals to support a supervised fine-tuning (SFT) dataset development initiative in collaboration with a leading AI research organization.
In this role, you will contribute domain expertise across corporate finance, capital markets, accounting, and financial analysis to help improve how advanced AI systems reason about complex financial topics. This is a project-based, remote opportunity offering flexible scheduling and high-impact work.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine finance-related prompts and expert-level responses across topics such as valuation, risk management, investment theory, and financial modeling
Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with professional finance standards
Create prompt variations to assess model performance across different personas, formats, and instruction styles
Identify challenging edge cases and nuanced financial scenarios to test system robustness
Provide explanations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
Maintain high standards of analytical rigor and financial precision in all contributions
Required Qualifications
Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (e.g., MBA, PhD, CFA charterholder preferred)
3+ years of professional experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, financial consulting, financial reporting, or academia
Strong quantitative reasoning and financial writing skills
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and accurately
Experience working independently in a structured, remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their practical applications
Experience in curriculum development, financial education, or technical instruction
Exposure to AI-assisted workflows or data annotation projects

Fully remote and asynchronous — set your own schedule
Expected commitment: 10–20 hours per week
Project duration: approximately 4+ months, with potential extension
