About the Role
We’re looking for an Accountant who takes pride in clean, accurate books and enjoys helping clients make sense of their numbers. You’ll support our Accounting Managers and Controllers in maintaining reliable financials for eCommerce and digital-first businesses and help ambitious founders make smarter decisions with clarity and trust.

We’re growing intentionally and we’re looking for an Accountant who takes pride in exceptional bookkeeping.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients with accuracy and attention to detail
Deliver clean, timely reconciliations and seamless month-end closes
Manage A/P and A/R with reliability and transparency
Maintain organized financial data and up-to-date documentation
Support automation initiatives and suggest workflow improvements
What You Bring
⭐ 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a firm or multi-client environment
⭐ ACCA accreditation or equivalent (or in progress)
⭐ Strong understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping: reconciliations, A/R and A/P, prepaids, accruals, and month-end close
⭐ High proficiency in QuickBooks Online (bonus if certified)
⭐ Excellent English communication and documentation skills
⭐ A mindset that blends autonomy, curiosity, and calm precision
Your Journey at UpCounting
Your First Week: Getting Set Up
Meet People Ops and Accounting teams, get familiar with our async tools, ways of working, communication across different timezones and complete onboarding modules.
After 1 Month: Finding Your Rhythm
Retrain on key accounting tools we use (QuickBooks, A2X, Gusto and others), shadow live files, and start supporting recurring tasks. You’ll begin to see see how your work directly impacts a client’s financial picture.
In 3 Months: Full File Ownership
Confidently manage your own client files end-to-end, collaborating closely with Managers and Controllers and ensuring you meet UpCounting standards.
